Ida Elina and Pirkanpojat Boys’ Choir in a joint concert
Ida Elina is a charismatic performer blessed with a golden voice. Her unique percussive style of playing the traditional Finnish instrument, kantele, was inspired by YouTube guitarists. She combines edgy pop with archaic traditional music when she plays kantele. She has performed in the United States, China, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Nordic countries, among other places.
Pirkanpojat Boys’ Choir from Tampere was founded in 1970. The central goals of the choir include cherishing and developing the unique instrument and culture of boys’ choirs and offering boys in Pirkanmaa the opportunity to learn about being a musician and singing in an inspiring environment. The choir’s repertoire focuses on church music. In addition, the choir also performs contemporary music and opera as well as jazz and pop arrangements.
Behind the scenes of the concert, you can also find the Tasku tukee organisation that has supported families with children and disabled children in Latvia and Estonia for 20 years. In the future, its operations will also expand to Ukraine.
There is an interval in this concert.
